Re: WinBoard 4.4.3
Thank you for the WinBoard update-effort an_imbecil. But the WinBoard version you posted is a little out-dated - 5 days older than the version I posted above.
Your Winboard.ini states its version as 4.4.20100120 aka 4.4-2010 January20
My Winboard.ini states its version as 4.4.20100125 aka 4.4-2010 January25
And WinBoard version 4.4.3 has not been reached or finalized yet. These are just intermediate versions between Winboard 4.4.2 and the upcoming Winboard 4.4.3.
To verify a WinBoard's version, look into the top of it's .ini file.

I doubt the seekgraph will be included in 4.4.3 as they are technically on a code freeze for all features relating to 4.4.x except for bug-fixes. Or at least that is the official line. But by all means test it out, and report any conflicts you may find.

Re: WinBoard 4.4.2010-Januaury25 (Pre WinBoard 4.4.3)
H.G.M made one more version of winboard with the seekGraph.

Should he ever release a new version this link will update, but he said this is the last for a while.

OK, one more seek-graph version (4.20100203): apart from fixing the compiler problem with node count that all versions made by me shared, I also discovered that I did not properly jump back to the beginning of the pattern-matching loop after recognizing a seek-ad message. Occasionally this led to a message relevant for plotting or removing a dot not being recognized (so that it was printed in the ICS window, in stead of acted upon), when two of them came in the same TCP/IP packet. The version I posted now has this fixed by adding the proper 'continue' statements. Now I can run for a ful our on ICC with the eval-graph up without this ever happening.
I also use the proper names for the various wilds now. (This is mainly for the benefit of ICC, where everything that is not blitz, lightning or standard is called wild(N); FICS already uses the 'poetic names' in the seek ads by itself.)
To use Seek window in ICS set this options on in your Winboard.ini "/seekGraph=true" and click on the chess board to activate when not in game.
For auto update of said graph in ICC and FICS set "/autoRefresh=true," and in the ics window you have to set the 'seek' variable on the ICS to 1. In the case of FICS, for example, type "set seek 1." (default setting I believe)

Re: WinBoard 4.4.2010-Januaury25 (Pre WinBoard 4.4.3)
Thanks for the update, Darklord42. This is a quick update from H.G.Muller. I'm kind of glad I didn't install the Feb02-2010 version yet. Not that I would've used it in the immediate future anyway. I may still do that at some point though.
RE: Regarding using Winboard ICS Seek Graph GUI, I am taking a break from computer chess and haven't logged-in to yahoo for 3+ weeks now. Other priorities at the moment. Therefor, the data regarding WinBoard ICS Seek Graph may have to be obtained from regular users - at the moment. Hopefully they'll give sufficient & informative feedback to you.

Re: WinBoard 4.4.2010-Januaury25 (Pre WinBoard 4.4.3)
Well the graph won't work with Yay unfortunately as it doesn't use the sought command, not that it needs it. Yay doesn't mass assault you with seek adds. Clicking the board will only give you a "sought: command not found in the ICS" But thanks anyway! Any problems anyone should find should be directed at this thread.

And another one (2/4/10)
OK, one more bugfix (4.20100204):
For one, I added the right mouse button into the mix. The left button still behaves exactly as it did, but clicking on a dot with the right mouse pointer will push the ad that is displayed to the back, so that it shows a new one in the case of (nearly) coinciding dots. The same could already be done by left-press on the dot followed by left-release off dots to prevent issuing the challenge, but with the right button you will never challenge, and this might be easier. Right-clicking in an empty region of the graph will refresh it by fetching a new sought list from the ICS, without the need to pop down the graph first.
I have now also made it such that when the mouse pointer is within range of more than a single ad, an exclamation point is displayed in front of the ad text, so you know there is something behind it, which you could get at by rightclicking.
This led me to discover that many ads were there in duplicat. Now it turns out some people genuinely place the same seek ad twice. But in most cases it turned out to be due to a bug, that re-parsed the first part of the sought list that was received in parts (as long sought lists usually are). I fixed that bug now.
I also have computer ads displayed as squares now; human ads are still dots. This version seems to be fully operational, the right-clicking to get at ads 'in the background' seems to work quite well.
(2/8/10)
Seekgraph test version of winboard now has options for one click moving (either by space or piece if there is one legal move to that space) and the option to check your partner in bughouse. It will display his time and who's move it is in the info bar and right clicking will take a peek at his board. Options are in winboard.ini are /oneClickMove true and /backgroundObserve true. Same link above

Re: WinBoard 4.4.2010-Januaury25 (Pre WinBoard 4.4.3)
Doesn't have the seekgraph though and a lot of the new awesome features like the improved chat-boxes capable for being dedicated to channels and shouts. According to HGM If your looking for a tried and true stable release then that is it, but the seekgraph.zip version is by no means unstable. just hasn't had the time to be given the official stamp of approval, and new things are on their way. Also note, if you have been using the seekgraph.zip version, then the winboard.ini has a lot of things that is incompatible with the official stable build and needs to be regenerated and reconfigured.
