Create .bin openings book

Does anyone know how to create a .bin openings book if i have a pgn file collection.
What about tools i need to do this?
I want to use this openings book with rybka and polyglot.

please help me to create .bin book from .pgn files collection. During search for the same on websites i can come to know we can create the .bin books by the following command using ployglot command line

polyglot make-book -pgn games.pgn -bin book.bin -max-ply 30

but error is coming when i was executing the above command may be i missed something. Please help

Have in same folder polyglot.exe and games.pgn files

Error can be because 2 reasons. 1 games in your collection are corrupted, then you have to delete bad games and 2 your collection too big, then you need to have small file of pgn.

i really appreciate for your prompt response. Thanks for your help and will keep your points in mind too. But the problem was something else, i resolved it. i was doing 2 mistakes firstly i didnt went to polyglot directory secondly my polyglot.exe name is different. Anyways can you please let me know how i can make very strong book. I use to play chess on Yahoo with YAY but i couldnt beat anyone has rank higher than 2100+. I tried so many books but didnt succeed. Please advice.

My advice is use ctg book, people beating you for sure are using ctg books, strong ones (some commercial) that we can find everywhere.

sir i want to make my private book. Can you please let me know the points to be keep in mind to make a strong private book. I have a collection of .pgn files of the best games and i am deleting all the draw games from that. Is it the good way and how long the book should be. ( i mean the size of the book in mega bytes.)

Have you heard about adapter? It uses ctg in polyglot
