Hi Matematiko i just wonder where the players go? Are they in another room or there are no more chess players

I do not know, but YaY will tell you how many players are there in every room. Just do not declare the room in the batch file and YaY will extract the informacion from the control shower and displayed it for you in the room selection windows.

To see this, kind of worries me. If all YaY users want to play against each other, then all they have to do is go to the same room, for example: Advance Lounge.

I too see no people anywhere. Thre are few reasons:

1.- Most YaY users do not know that YaY still works,
2.- There is only a handful of YaY users,
3.- Most YaY users were only interested on cheating (playing against humans).

Changing the subject a little, I am surprised that the chess servers are still running. It makes me wonder if Yahoo is going to use the same servers just with different looks and exploit fixes. If that is the case, making YaY to work will be very simple or not needed at all. We will see.

i tried logging in everyday since yahoo close doors.. it wasnt until a week ago yay qui working now.. im so sad.. i was hoping when yay still worked yay players woulkd still login and play .. but now nobody can log into yahoo chess.. i play now at playchess.com and im very upset and sad yaho is now dead.. i never got involved into computer chess if it wasnt for yahoo chess and a few friends here who are XsupremeX aka WaldeMar now and Dene and Matematiko.. Im very sad at these change of events..
