Is it possible to play on yahoo and pogo and move the pieces by yourself while winboard reads your moves and analyzes your score while you play?

Have you tried? If it works: fine, if it does not: it never will.

Chessbuddy gives you the option to switch to manual mode.

regards,
Using engines to cheat:
- It is not ethical,
- It is useless, nothing is gained (how can one be proud of a score earn with dishonesty?)
- You will be baned, sooner or later,
- It gives us (the true chess engine players) a bad reputation.

Try analysis mode. Not all engines support it however, most do though. And lord knows how yahoo/pogo will handle it. My suspicion, not backed by actual testing as I'm not on my windows partition, is that putting it in analysis mode will take winboard out of ics mode, which is no good.

WinBoard-4.5.2

http://hgm.nubati.net/WinBoard-4.5.2.exe

The differences with 4.5.1 are:

*) Now makes distinction between engine string, file and path options, and accompanies the controls to set them with the proper browse button (or none).
*) Fixes use of Game or Position file in first game of match started from menu.
*) Fixes a bug in nps 0 mode.
*) Fixes two bugs in treatment of FRC castling rights.
*) Fixes bug in reading position diagrams (only used when FEN tag is missing).
*) Fixes some minor bugs in even more obscure variants.
*) Cleans up some warnings in 64-bit compiling.

In the package:
*) Polyglot replaced by latest version (1.4.66b).
*) Now also includes a Russian language file.
