You can find the .exe application by:
1) unzipping STUCI_Windows_Source_080605.zip
2) opening STUCI_Windows_Source_080605 directory
3) opening Release directory
4) running Chessy.exe

Good luck :)

Hi zappa! I tried run it today but it didnt run. Do I need Virtual Studio 2008? Cuz old chessy and old Stuci Windows was running ok till yahoo changed but this new one doesnt open and gives me error message poping up?! Thnx

zappa_engine Moderator
What error message? Are you running Chessy.exe from within the Release directory?

xsupremex Moderator
Yes, Im using that chessy inside release folder. I double click and it says 'Chessy stopped working'. It doesnt even open, only the error appears.

zappa_engine Moderator
Okay it's erroring because I uploaded my settings which are different from everyone elses. If you go into the settings folder, you can open up engines.ini and fix the path.

zappa_engine Moderator
Oh here's the quickfix for now. Edit engines.ini and change the line to read:
toga;TogaII142JD-1cpu.exe

Thnx zappa. It is working nice now... And nice new table design

Hehehe It looks it is my conversation.

Well lautre2.

1st - The file is in zip format. Unzip it and put the folder wherever you desire.
2nd- Inside the folder 'STUCI_Windows_Source_080605' there is other folder called 'Release', open it. You will find other folder called 'settings', open it.
3rd - Open the file in notepad format called 'engines'. There you will find a line like this:

toga;C:\STUCI_Windows_Source_080605\Release\TogaII142JD-1cpu.exe

Like zappa said edit it to this:

toga;TogaII142JD-1cpu.exe

But anyway I think zappa already corrected this in his new post in STUCI topic...

zappa: Very good. I re-uploaded it with the fixed engines.ini now. It's a minor thing but can cause it not to work

You downloaded the last file he posted? Try download stuci again... Im sure the last one was corrected.

Yeah, you're being quite helpful supreme, thanks!

So, yes, the STUCI Windows topic post had a version I posted in which my settings were included (and most likely incompatible with others). I updated and fixed that quickly after being notified by supreme but maybe the old version is still lingering around somewhere.

Basically, the software is looking for the engine location to load it automatically. If it can't find it, it will crash. That information is stored in settings/engines.ini file. I suppose the software will fail to load if Toga is not present.

In case some people are thinking that I packaged Toga for no reason and deleted that engine, it is a required file for now and you need it in the same directory.

Hope that helps fix some reports I hear of the software crashing. If it's still crashing after that, let me know.

I'll look into it. Bryan is mentioning that the software is crashing for him too. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't an issue with the engine being found. I'm going to recompile Chessy sometime (no login fix).

Oh wait, now that I mentioned it, here's a little tip. Copy YGL.dll from STUCI Windows to Chessy's directory and replace the old YGL.dll file. YGL.dll is responsible for the login protocol, so it should fix Chessy up too.

After I changed my OS Vista 64bit to XP 32bit, my STUCI-Windows no work anymore :? . When I run Chessy from STUCI-Windows a window pop-up saying The Chessy.exe found a problem and need to be closed.

But my Chessy runs ok. The problem is the chessy.exe from stuci-windows. Im using the last modified STUCI-Windows. :?
