[PolyGlot]

EngineName = DeepThought ; to distinguish from the default version
EngineDir = E:\Program Files\Polygot\Engine\Rybka 2.3.2a
EngineCommand = DeepThought
Book = true ; to enable/disable an PolyGlot book
BookFile =Rybka.ini
Log = true
LogFile = DeepThought.log
Resign = true ; to enable/disable resign
ResignScore = 800

[Engine]

Hash = 128
OwnBook = true
UCI_Elo = 2400

Playing Style = Killer ; engine-specific option

That's what I used in my Rybka.ini, which I renamed Deepthougt.ini

You must edit the directory (in the .ini files of your engine, example polyglot_rybka.ini). And put the engine on your selected directory. I think you can use UCI engines without polyglot... (I did that once!)

Oh yes, I did. Here's what I used:

"Fruit 2.3.1" /fUCI /fcp="Fruit-2-3-1.exe" /fd="C:\Polygot\Engine\Fruit"
"Fruit 2.3.1" /sUCI /scp="Fruit-2-3-1.exe" /fd="C:\Polygot\Engine\Fruit"

this is what pop up on my pc when i have try to switch the engine to rybka and waiting to play at yahoo
Fatal Error---error:first chess program(polyglot.exe.polyglot_rybka.ini) exited unexpectedly

this is what i did
1-double clicked YaY-Polyglot.pl
2-filled up Nick name>password>room>yahoo tet>enter
3-double cliked Winboard for Polyglot.exe
4-i select >"Play against a chess engine or mach two engines" and cliked on the rybka engine
5-I cliked on >"use an internet chess server
6-then is when the fatal error shows

Post here the polyglot_rybka.ini, and tell us the directory where your engines are located.

PS: Some engines doesn't need polyglot, but rybka does.

[Polyglot]
EngineDir = C:\Polygot\Engine\Rybka
EngineCommand = Rybkav2.3.2a.w32.exe
Book = true
BookFile = C:\Polygot\Engine\Fruit\book.bin
[Engine]
Hash = 128
NalimovPath = c:\egtb
NalimovCache = 16
OwnBook = true

I tested the fruit engine the same way I posted it before and it works. In this case, I believe that the problem is with Rybka.
